Torture and ill-treatment in the context of juvenile justice:

Children in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia still face extraordinary challenges in the justice process. Despite some progress, much more needs to be done. Children report of ill-treatment, sometimes amounting to torture. They don't complain, despite beatings, rape and humiliation. Solitary confinement is still allowed in all countries. This lead to a cycle of stigmatization and isolation jeopardizing their chances of returning to society.
