"Torture and ill-treatment against children in the context of juvenile justice in Tajikistan": results of the study

Children in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia still face extraordinary challenges in the justice process. Despite some progress, much more needs to be done. Children report of ill-treatment, sometimes amounting to torture. They don't complain, despite beatings, rape and humiliation. Solitary confinement is still allowed in all countries. This lead to a cycle of stigmatization and isolation jeopardizing their chances of returning to society.
