Coalition against Torture and Impunity in Tajikistan runs a campaign “Digital Candle”

Dear Friends,

On June 26 we invite you to attend the international solidarity campaign — “Digital Candle”. On this day, we will celebrate the International Torture Victims Support Day, and your every action will make a difference.

We are inviting you to change your user icon in social media: make it black or add the image of a candle. It is a simple, but a powerful gesture will be a symbol of support to victims of torture and their relatives. It does not require words, but shows empathy with those who have faced the horror of cruelty and violence.

Torture is the outrage on humanity, covering a lot of people all over the world. Each of us can make a contribution to creation of more equitable society by supporting those who have passed through these hardships, while expressing solidarity with them.
